I woke up a bit worried this morning as Zoe was not here. I found a note in the living room from her and she said that she went hunting. She got home at about noon and told me her story.
First, she took dad’s truck. She knows better! She arrived about 06:30. She set up the tree stand and got ready for a big buck! She sat quietly in the cold with only her onesie on as this is her only camouflage outfit. She said that if she had teeth, they would have broken from shivering so much. She made sure her gun was loaded and ready to go.
She patiently waited until 10:00 and did not see a single deer! She was extremely upset. I guess she got her temper from her father. She jumped from her chair and started jumping up and down in anger and even used some words that she hears dad say in anger. They were quite colorful. She then described the mist during the morning and the dew on the stand. Since she wasn’t totally prepared and did not have appropriate footwear, she lost her footing.
She started to fall. Her foul language continued the whole way down and ranged from not seeing deer to how she got an ant bite on her pinky toe. She landed in some tall grass and had no injuries to speak of. She did hurt her pride tremendously.
She stayed where she landed for about an hour while she cried. She was very upset and could not wait to get home so we could change her diaper. When she got here, Tammy and I dried her tears and cleaned her up. We tended to her ant bite and I have to go get the tree stand later today. I can’t believe she left it there! Grrr…. I asked that she request to use the truck next time in case I had to go get coffee for mom.
*** NOTE: This is a reenactment and no babies were hurt in this blog post.

Shotguns make for messy deer kills.
Pretty funny m8!
Yea, she is a Remmington fan. I don’t get it. She says that the 1100 just feels “right” to her. I can’t tell her anything…
LOL
Tom have you been taking your medication?
