Ok, Tammy already had this problem. I fixed it. I forgot how I did it and then I had the same problem. Sheesh. I’ll write it down now. I hope this can help someone.

iPhone 3GS battery life percentage

I don’t know if the is part of the 3.0 software update for the iPhone or if it is 3GS specific but I can display battery percentage now. Go to Settings->General->Usage and it is a switch at the top.
Good to see a numerical value along with the graph!
